Air Duct & Chimney Services in Studio City, CA
Studio City splits into two very different places: the flat streets north of Ventura Boulevard, full of 1930s to 1950s traditional houses, and the canyon and hillside homes climbing toward Mulholland. Both get used hard, and both have chimneys that are older than most of their owners realize. We book Studio City jobs the simple way: a phone call, a few questions about the house and a price range you can rely on before anyone shows up.

The Homes We Work On Here
1930s to 1950s traditional and Cape Cod houses in the Silver Triangle and the flats, mid-century post-and-beam houses up the canyons, and large rebuilt homes on the hillside lots. That mix decides what we find in attics, crawlspaces and flues, and it is why one street can need a different approach from the next.
For chimneys, the common issue is tall masonry chimneys on the older traditional houses and steep hillside roofs where oak leaves and twigs collect in an uncapped flue every autumn. For dryer vents, it is hillside houses where the laundry sits on a lower level and the dryer vent has to climb a full story before it can exit. Behind all of it: canyon brush and oak debris on the hillside lots, and the same Valley summer heat on the flats that keeps the cooling system running from June to October.
Up in the canyons the debris problem is real. Oak leaves, eucalyptus bark and twigs land on the roof all year, and an open chimney or a dryer vent with a broken flap collects them. A spark-arrestor cap is cheap insurance in a high fire hazard zone, and it keeps the flue clear at the same time.
Post-and-beam houses from the 1950s often have ducts running through very shallow roof cavities or slab trenches rather than a normal attic. They can still be cleaned properly, but the access points are fewer, and we plan the job around where the registers actually are.
Booking Notes
Hillside homes south of the boulevard often have narrow driveways and steep roofs. A quick photo of the roof and the driveway sent by text helps us plan ladders and parking.
If your home is in a very high fire hazard zone, ask about a spark-arrestor cap and the condition of your vent terminations when we are out. Both are small jobs that matter in fire season.
